Dr. Prepper has been writing about preparedness since 1974, and certainly has a lot of insight on the topic. This is the second time I've been a guest on one of his shows, and thankfully, we had a better connection this time so the audio is much better. Although the focus of the interview was my newest book: Bug Out Vehicles and Shelters, we covered a lot of ground that went beyond just bugging out.

Thanks for the link Mr. Williams. I was able to catch the 1st half of your earlier interview mentioned below, then my kids came in 'I'm Hongry!' and I had to leave the site. I will finish and try to listen to this one as well - it was good stuff!
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed your interview with Dr. Prepper and can't wait to read your book.
ReplyDeleteAnonymous, hope your kids will eventually give you a chance to listen to both of the interviews!
ReplyDeleteVincent, thanks and hope you enjoy the book!
Looking forward to listening to this podcast and checking out your info.. it's my first visit to your site- it looks really great! I found you through prepperwebsite.com
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to the interview. Finally got around to cracking open my copy of BOV&S a few days ago (even though it's been in the queue for a few months!). Really enjoying it so far and slicing through quickly. Especially appreciate all the attention to bug out by watercraft. I used to live about 3 miles up a hill from the San Diego Harbor. While there I took sailing lessons and was actively seeking to implement my "bike to boat" BO strategy. One of the biggest dangers Southern Californians face regularly is wildfires from the East so I felt like it made good sense...
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear you're enjoying the book, Dan. Many people would be wise to consider watercraft as so many of the most crowded places have access to water routes of some sort, while other options such as roads may be a nightmare.
ReplyDeleteGood tips. Thanks, Dr. Prepper.
